Synergy has been my care partner for over a year. My wife's ALZ progression has expanded the skills necessary for proper care. As our relationship developed, it became apparent that consistent instead of random caregivers is the key to building the relationships of trust that meet or exceed the need. Some caregivers wanted to just be babysitters waiting for the shift to end, while others have become extended family, shouldering jobs without direction, like laundry, diapers, bathing, trash, meal planning, meal preparation, shopping, baking, cleaning and companionship. They have demonstrated their competence that allows me to leave the house for errands, meetings, or medical appointments, confident that my wife will be properly cared for as the need arises.  My care team, led by Melissa Hankemeier, is worthy of recognition for their ongoing support during these emotional times: Roberta McDonald, Claire Newberry, Brandon Carter, Sydney Legrand, Josh Rushbrook, Alyssa Brown,  Amy Meyers, Amber Swaney, and  Carol Miller.  In addition to the field team, the office support staff of TJ, MJ and Kylie addressing the billing and scheduling issues, complete the team that has supported my effort to provide in home care for my wife. Lori has been helping with my husband for several weeks and we appreciate her willingness to do whatever we ask of her to make him comfortable such as baths dressing and eating. Lori Shepard and Marcia Stauffer are great!  My mother enjoys having them come every week.  Lori has a happy and very caring personality that makes mom feel not only like a human being but a friend. My family is using Synergy’s Services since last November and I’m really happy with the company in general. One of our main caregivers, Pearl Osibu is really great. She makes Salvador laugh effortlessly, is always trying to speak Spanish, has great conversations with us, is always looking for extra things to do. We have a room adjourning Salvador’s that has been in a complete clutter since forever. Pearl took it upon herself and to declutter, organize and clean the room, put things away and make it into a real guest room.
